Little Wing, an amazingly aesthetic Moldavite. Tapering thickness allows for a gradient of green across the entire specimen. Deep etching, resulting in feather-like tips in spectacular condition, frames the piece. Moldavite is the naturally water-etched silica melt resulting from a meteor impact in what is now southern Germany about 14.7 million years ago, forming the Nördlinger Ries Crater. It is approximately 77% silica. Besednice, Český Krumlov District, South Bohemia, Czech Republic. 6.45 grams, 1.8" x 1" x .5"
