From The Artist - Jimmy Vacek
"This Delightful Arborescent, Dendritic, Elemental Native Gold Cabochon comes from rough that was mined in CA at the McLaughlin Mine in the 80’s. The geologist for this mine was able to collect pieces that he then studied for the mine. He had all these pieces and samples from his years working at this mine and they are exceptional. It is high quality gold in its native state. A lot of it is arborescent (tree like) in a white quartz and black Mud Stone. This fabulous gem was found in a hydrothermal vein deposit. In flow breccia Zones like this there is often a mélange of minerals much to the delight of lapidary artists. When viewed under long wave UV light some of this material will glow a bright yellow and sometimes green color. What a gift!
This is an extremely rare occurrence, providing us with these beautiful gold cabochons.
This is a chance for anyone to own their own piece of natural gold!! How exciting!"
